You've decided to take advantage of our E-ZVestsm service, the most convenient way to follow the time-tested investment strategy of dollar-cost averaging. Here's how to set up E-ZVestsm to buy stocks automatically so you can put your BUYandHOLD account on autopilot!
You can set up E-ZVestsm for stocks you don't own and stocks you do own:
If you don't own the stock...
- Login to BUYandHOLD and select the account you wish to E-ZVestsm
- Click on "E-ZVestsm"(under "Trade" on the "View Your Account" screen)
- Click on "Add New E-ZVest"at the bottom of the screen
- Add the stock symbol(s) you would like to E-ZVestsm to your cart and click "Add"
- At this stage you can either add more symbols or remove the companies you have already entered. Click "Setup E-ZVestsm" to continue to the next step
Set up the specifics of your order:
- Enter a Dollar Amount
- Choose the Frequency - Weekly, Monthly, or Quarterly
- Choose the Trading Window - 10:00, 12:30, or 3:00 EST
- Choose the Payment Method - Instant Deposit or Available Funds
- Click "Complete E-ZVest" at the bottom of the the screen
If you do own the stock...
- Login to BUYandHOLD and select the account you wish to E-ZVestsm in
- Click on "E-ZVestsm"(under "Trade" on the "View Your Account" screen)
- You will be shown all securities that you currently own and their E-ZVestsm status
- Click on "Make Changes" at the bottom of the screen
- Click on the drop down menu under E-ZVestsm status and change "No" to "Yes" to activate E-ZVestsm
Before clicking "Save Changes" set up the specifics of your order:
- Enter a Dollar Amount
- Choose the Frequency - Weekly, Monthly, or Quarterly
- Choose the Trading Window - 10:00, 12:30, or 3:00 EST
- Choose your Payment Method - Instant Deposit or Available Funds.
- Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the screen
Some Important Facts to Note About E-ZVestsm
Dollar amount - You can set up a schedule to buy as little as $20, or as much as you like.
Frequency
- Weekly - Every Wednesday
- Monthly - On the 10th of each month
- Quarterly - Quarterly purchases are made on the 10th of the following months: January, April, July and October
Your order will be executed at the trading window you specify. If the purchase is scheduled to occur on a weekend or holiday, the trade will be executed the next business day.
Trading Window - 10:00, 12:30, or 3:00 EST
Payment Method - E-ZVestsm trades can be made using either Available Funds or BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit. If you choose BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit but have not yet set up this payment method, you will be prompted to complete just a few simple steps.
